Our story
Harvest Green Roots Academy was born from the unwavering determination of five visionaries, led by Jean Paul Zabalou, a seasoned farmer with years of experience and deep expertise, alongside Sammy Achonu, whose passion and drive fuel a journey of learning and discovery. Together, they united around a profound mission: to rewrite the narrative of youth unemployment in Côte d’Ivoire by unlocking the transformative power of agriculture.
Rooted in the belief that farming is not just a livelihood but a path to empowerment and community transformation, they chose the fertile lands of N’Gbekro as their foundation. Located just two hours from Abidjan, this region offers an unparalleled combination of rich soil, flat fields, and proximity to the economic hub of the nation—making it the ideal setting to nurture dreams and cultivate success.
At its heart, Harvest Green Roots Academy is a beacon of hope, equipping young people with not just the tools and techniques of modern agriculture but the confidence to reclaim their futures through the land. By bridging traditional farming wisdom with innovative, sustainable practices, the academy transforms agriculture into more than survival—it becomes a thriving, dignified way of life.
Harvest Green Roots Academy stands as a testament to what is possible when expertise meets passion and purpose. It is a bridge between generations, a pillar of resilience for communities, and a promise that no dream is too distant to be cultivated and harvested. This is more than farming—it is the cultivation of hope, prosperity, and a brighter tomorrow
